James Harden recorded his 18th triple-double of the season (41 points, 14 rebounds, 11 assists) and broke the single-season assists total in franchise history but it wasn’t enough for the Rockets on the night. Solomon Hill had a career-game with 30 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds while Anthony Davis chipped in with 24 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks of his own to give the Pelicans the win despite All-Star DeMarcus Cousins’ absence. Harden also passed Russell Westbrook and Oscar Robertson for the most 40-point (6) triple-doubles in a single season in NBA history.

All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo posted 26 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 blocks to help the Bucks down the Lakers in Los Angeles. Khris Middleton, too, suitably complemented Giannis with his season-high 30 points, 14 of which came in the fourth quarter. The Bucks have now won eight of their last nine and have three games remaining at Golden State, Portland and Sacramento as part of their six-game West road trip. Meanwhile, the Lakers dropped the 12th game of their last 13.

Minnesota Timberwolves 105-123 Miami Heat

Dion Waiters played just 12 minutes, but Tyler Johnson stepped up in his place for the Heat with 23 points. The duo of Hassan Whiteside (23 points, 14 rebounds, 3 blocks) and Goran Dragic (19 points, 10 assists, 5 rebounds, 3 steals) were once again crucial to the Heat’s seventh straight home win. The Heat finished the night as the eighth seed in the East standings with this win. Karl-Anthony Towns’ 31 points, 11 rebounds gave Minnesota something to cheer in the loss.

Orlando Magic 109-103 Phoenix Suns

After suffering a 30-point blowout in Golden State, the Magic bounced back with a spirited win over the Suns in Phoenix to wrap up their 3-game road trip. Evan Fournier top-scored with 25 while Nikola Vucevic had a huge double-double of 18 points, 17 rebounds. The Suns have now lost three in a row and five of their last six.
