The Houston Rockets weathered a sensational Russell Westbrook triple-double (51 points, 10 rebounds, 13 assists, 4 steals), and had some high-octane contributions from James Harden (35 points, 8 assists) and Eric Gordon (22 points; 57.1 FG%), to keep it a perfect 2-in-2 in their 2017 Playoffs first-round matchup against the OKC Thunder.

The Thunder came out hot in the opening quarter, dropping 35 points on their opponents while restricting the home team to just 26 points. Westbrook had 12p-6r-4a in the opening 12 minutes.


The Rockets managed to get their offense going in the second period as they closed the half to narrow the deficit to just six points against the Thunder. Westbrook had 10 assists at the half for OKC.

Ultimately though, the Rockets’ offense proved to be too much for the Thunder as they outscored the visitors 29-22 in the final period to come away with a win. The Rockets now lead the series 2-0, with the action for Games 3 and 4 now shifting to Oklahoma City.
