Whirlwind Wednesday: Kyle Lowry’s Clutch Jumper, Butler-Rondo Tandem And CP3’s Shot-Blocking Surprise

Whirlwind Wednesday: Kyle Lowry’s Clutch Jumper, Butler-Rondo Tandem And CP3’s Shot-Blocking Surprise NBA Playoffs

The playoffs are picking up heat and Wednesday gave us a series of results that surprised, dazzled and delighted. There was a now-expected power slam by the Greek Freak, Kyle Lowry bounced back against the Bucks with a clutch performance and Rajon Rondo was in vintage form. Check out our picks for the best of the day’s action:

The series between the Toronto Raptors and the Milwaukee Bucks hinged on the shooting of their two backcourt stars Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan. Lowry bounced back from a poor first game by scoring 22 points and sealing the game with a dagger.

Rajon Rondo is currently involved in a series against the team he won his only NBA championship with, in 2008. Rondo gave the Boston Celtics a flashback moment by confounding his defender with the nifty ‘Dream Shake’.

Chris Paul is the complete point guard. He marshals his troops perfectly and in Game 2 he came up big for the LA Clippers. But few, if any, have seen the 6-foot point guard block shots. That’s exactly what he did in this play on George Hill.

Not a game goes by when Giannis doesn’t test our belief in the laws of physics. And this game was no exception as Giannis dropped yet another brutal dunk on the Raptors.

Rondo, Butler and Wade pulled back-to-back upset wins over the top-seeded Boston Celtics. The secret? Gritty, diving-and-still-making-full-court-passes plays like these. Rondo and Butler for the win.
